Credentials

With over seven years of teaching experience, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Utah with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. I am a classically trained voice professional, having studied vocal pedagogy, music theory, and attended private voice lessons for 12 years.

I aim to help students grow into the best versions of themselves and to give them a safe space where they have opportunities to make mistakes, try new things, and play!

I am passionate about teaching and performing and love combining these passions in the classroom. I discovered my love of teaching while working at theatre camps. Since then, I’ve worked in developmentally minded performing arts education, other voice studios, childcare facilities, privately with individual families, and online teaching English as a Second Language to kiddos.

In Chicago, you can find Miss Alice teaching in her private voice studio, at ELFI Studio in Oak Park, and at Stages Performing Arts in West Loop.

Voice Lessons

My lessons are designed with your goals, hesitations, and passions in mind. We will create a plan together to help your voice thrive!

Voice lessons are a wonderful way to help a shy child break out of their shell, encourage confidence, learn musicality, inspire creativity, and engage all areas of the brain and body.

In Private Voice Lessons, you will learn how to:

  • Use and understand musicality, rhythm, pitch, and phrasing

  • Support your voice using breath control

  • Explore what sounds are possible for your vocal instrument

  • Strengthen all areas of your voice (head voice, mix, and belt)

  • Engage an audience with stage presence, acting, and confidence

  • Create individualized goals with Miss Alice to nail your next audition, sing a new style of music, or learn to match pitch!
